What are same-day crowns?

Same-day crowns are custom dental crowns designed, created, and placed in a single visit using advanced digital technology. Dental crowns restore damaged or weakened teeth while improving their strength, function, and appearance.

At Pastel Dental, we use advanced CEREC® technology to digitally design and craft highquality porcelain crowns in-office, eliminating the need for temporary crowns and multiple appointments. In most cases, your custom crown can be completed in just one visit.

Am I a candidate for same-day crowns?

You may be a candidate for same-day crowns if you have a cracked, broken, worn, or decayed tooth, or if you need restoration following a root canal treatment.

How do same-day crowns work?

Before creating your crown, your provider prepares the tooth by gently reshaping it to ensure a proper fit. At Pastel Dental, we use advanced digital technology to complete the entire process in a single visit.

A 3D digital scan is taken of your tooth to create an accurate model of your smile. Using CAD/ CAM technology, your crown is then designed to match your bite, shape, and natural tooth color.

The crown is then created in-office from a durable ceramic material, refined for fit and appearance, and securely bonded to your tooth. This restores strength, function, and a natural look in just one appointment.
